Gozo

Was a wonderful day.

Sun, lovely moderate wind, motorbike, and seeing some of the family members I haven't seen for ages.

I woke up really early, it was 6:30am. Dad still asleep. I went down stairs, made breakfast and a cup of tea and prepared my father's coffee as he was soon to wake up. After a while, while my dad was preparing, I had a shower and got dressed. All ready to head to Gozo.

Took the motorbike, and just headed straight to make it to the Gozo ferry by 8:15am.

Arrived to our Auntie's in Sannat, Gozo. All quiet, she watching TV with my gran - her sister having tea together.

We joined them.

We later went to Uncle's who came with his wife from Australia, it's been quite some time since we last met and he thought we were tourists and wondered why we went through the narrow path where he has his flat there xD Whatever. We left and went back to the first Auntie..the first because my dad has 16 Aunties and Uncles in all. There were her daughter and 3 sons, all chauffeurs of their taxi company..all dedicated to horses and farms and all. Well actually, every single Gozotan is very well dedicated to all sort of stuff.
Anyways, the daughter came back from work and went to relax and rest, the exact day..in what? 4 hours later? She along with one of her brother..the youngest had to be chauffeurs for a wedding.

Two of the guys, came from a horse race..winning, the challenge cup.

I felt like I wanted to help them, with cleaning the horses and their stables, so I joined them.

Them cleaning the stables, and left me dealing with the horses.

It's so fun.
Brushing them, their hair and tail, cleaning their hooves from dirt, hay and their own remains stuck to them, applying some kind of cream to their both half of their hind and front legs followed by the sash or whatever that is..some kind of a colored bandage looking thing.
Et Voila, all nice, fresh and clean. Then came the next which was the last horse. Again, the same thing. What I hate about the whole horse thing is that, before and even after their wash, the still attract flies..and that's what makes me insane!

See this one here.. Light A Candle is the name.. The last one I cleaned,
and although it's a great shot..the flies look horrible.

Refreshened ourselves up, and went to another Auntie, to join them to their BBQ they held with some of her brothers and sisters and daughters and sons of her daughters with their husbands.

Afterwords, went back to the first Auntie, and washed the cars that had to be used tonight as well, for the wedding.
And the thing is, the cars weren't even dirty or anything. But oh well we had to keep them as tidy as possible.

And see this Mercedes? Well it's a shot, how it looked after the wash. And well, before the wash..it looked pretty much the same. Spick and Span.

Such a tiring day, but at least we met our Aunties and Uncles we haven't seen for a while and had a blast with them.

Wonderful.
